Galerie BSL is committed to opening new territories in the approach to art and design. Founded in Paris by Béatrice Saint-Laurent in 2010, its mission is to question conventions and engage the imagination by fostering experimentation and bold artistic research.
Innovation is expressed through constant attention to materials, explored both in their physical and conceptual dimensions. The sensory and symbolic value of the works, their narrative resonance, and their capacity to provoke wonder and reflection are at the core of the gallery’s projects. Born of a dialogue with nature, memory, culture, or imagination, they share the capacity to create a sensory experience. As design critic and historian Anne Bony underlines: “Galerie BSL stands out for its desire to elicit emotion by introducing the unexpected at the heart of the function.”
On the international art and collectible design stage, Galerie BSL asserts a forward-looking editorial line and a multicultural openness. Its collaborations with artists’ studios and master artisans, in France and abroad, highlight processes that reveal the energy of the gesture as much as approaches that reinvent savoir-faire through the lens of contemporary creation.
Located at 14 rue des Beaux-Arts in Saint-Germain-des-Prés, Galerie BSL cultivates a multidisciplinary program. Its exhibitions bring together collectible design, painting, photography, sculpture, textile art, and multimedia. Through these perspectives, it forges a language of its own and fosters the dissolution of creative boundaries.
Galerie BSL regularly participates in major fairs such as Art Paris, Design Miami, PAD Paris and PAD London, NOMAD, and Salon Art + Design in New York.
